The first chapter of Italy's constitution says 'Italy is a republic founded on work'.
Now Renato Brunetta, the elegantly titled Minister of Public Functions, has declared that this should change.
Marshalling my own views, I have rejected 'Italy is a republic founded on the black market', in favour of 'Italy is a republic founded on food'.
